Week 63, saying goodbye, back to work

Well that is good the talks are over with , just watch out it might have been so good that youl have to keep giving talks :) Wow sound like a lot of basketball! and wow Kay man the new Jimmer in the family you better tell seth to watch out because Kayden might , just take him out of his place jaja:) That is awesome that they have a lot of young men playing church ball! Are there alot of priest in the ward ? And wow Mom what did you do to your foot ? 

This week in the promised land ...

 same old in the house all day ; I watched the testament in like three different languages so i guess that was pretty cool! 

Miercoles: We had the conference that Seth talked a little about , it was super good and just what this mission could use and well every other mission too! So hopefully we can focus more on our puropse and get to work!:) Then we had intercambios with Zipa , which was so nice to get out of the house and have a real lesson after like 2 and half weeks in the house:) We had a great lesson with the Javier and his family there was like a total of 10 people ! But will see there are a lot of issues with marriage and things like that. 

Jueves. Well we got permison for my companion to go to Bogota to buy a few things here before he leaves , so we basically went shopping all day, and it was worse then going shopping with Mom jaja. We went every where looking for pants , but after like 100 stores nothing :P We did find a pretty sweet deal on suits that i think i might buy, it is like buy one get one free , and so it would be like 45 for each suit! So we will see. Oh then we had cow stomach in the soup at lunch and i dont know if you remember the last time I had cow stomach and I didn't do so well , well the same this time , throwing up UN BUEN !  So that wasnt too fun! 

Viernes, we went to drop my comp off at the offices he is officially at his house now, and then while i was there , there was a letter from Jessica and her family so that was super awesome to get their christmas card! 

Sabado : I got my new comp he is gringo too! How super crazy , but I might only be with him for a few weeks, so we will see. He is super awesome, and is from Idaho , so that is pretty cool , and he is a hard worker which is great!

Domingo: Went well , after church we had conatcted a bit which was great we had a few people who wanted or are willing to hear more. Then a few of the priest who are getting ready for their missions came with us , to visit people so that was awesome to see them prepare for their missions. Then we had a FHE about making choices which was super cool. And I remeber a quote form President Monson , that says" that are decisions we make , that determine our destiny. "so that is cool .

Lunes : today didnt do much , had lunch with a member , then cleaned the house.

Week 62

   Okay well it sounds like you guys had a pretty good week, that is also excitng to see them enjoy basketball ! Even if their teams arent doing so hot. Visting and home teaching are the best callings there are and it is excellent way to serve and show charity towards Gods children! Who were the priest that participated in the book of Moromon read a thon ? Jaja poor jack lol. He is at BYUI right now right ? 

Okay well this week lets just say it was pretty slow , probably one of the slowest weeks in the mission...

Martes: Well I don't  even remember what i did all day, but all I know is that we were stuck in the house , I did end up writing quite a few letters , that I will probably send in a package soon. 

Miercoles : We had our Zone conference, and well my comp wasnt feeling to well , actually really weak, so well you got i had the privilege of giving the whole thing by myself , with only a few inputs from my comp  here and there. And on top of everything it is one of the biggest Zones in the mission. But it went rather well for my not so fluent spanish , but I had alot of help from God. And the missionaries had a lot to say which was good I figured out the Key is to ask good questions that lead to discussions :) Anyways during the conference we talked a lot about Teaching repentance and Baptism which was super great, one of my Favorite scriptures from it was in Alma 42: 1-10 it was super great. Also we talked about what does it really mean to love the people here , that was super great! Anyways afterward , well you know , back in the house. 

Jueves: We had interviews with the president , and well my interview was rather short, he just told me how greatful for he was for my patience. Well my comp came out crying , and so well ,he is going home for sure sometime soon , the exact day we still dont ,know and who my new comp i also dont know, but I will  trust in God, because he is the Gardener in our lives. After a long day supervising  the interviews and helping teach english to all the latin missionaries we , went back with president to the mission office. My comp was able to take the english test, and he did super great!Also we had Papa Johns pizza super amazing!! I ran into Elder Johnson from my group apparently he hurt his foot pretty bad , and doesnt know if he will have to go home , hopefully not. Oh also Elder Lindley  was in the office , and he was working on a baptism form , from someone that was baptized , it was from my old area. One of Erika´s brothers was baptized so cool !!! that like made my entire week!!! 

Viernes : we had permission to go to the templo it was good! Then I came home and was reading in the Liahaona , where it talks about the story of Joseph Smith loosing , the 1st 100 and something papers that he translated , and how he went through a really hard time . he lost a child , and Emma was really sick and almosted died at the time. He had the feeling that ¨all was lost¨ and that is how I have been feeling with the work here, but this talked really helped to rely on God and he will make me stronger. 

Sabado: so I came to realize I might be staying for another transfer , that would mean 25 % of my mission in one area which is a lot and well one scripture really helped , as I was trying to figure out what I would do with another transfer , and why.

16 And I consercate unto them this land, for a little season, until I , the Lord , Shall proovide for them otherwise, and command them to go hence,

17 And the hour and the day is not given unto them, wherefore let them act upon this land as for years, and this shall turn unto them for their good.

Anyways that was pretty much my week , nothing too exciting but , I recieved a lot of help from above!:)

Week 61I love the temple!!!

Wow that is super awesome to hear that Kayden is leaving for the mission soon! That is awesome that you had the experince to knock doors , it is actually real interesting because you never know who is behind , the door , sometimes they are super nice ,other times well not so much jaja. How is Jared so Old ? that is crazy that he is 13! I feel like he just barely turned 12.Well there is a Less active who cuts our hair for pretty cheap , to get a haircut here is super cheap like 2 dollars or less. How super lucky the priest are what more could they ask for ? They get to read the Book of Mormon in 24 hours and have amazing food, and fun activities as the accomplish this big goal. I wish we would have done that, when I was there. 

Martes: Leadership meeting , which was good , we talked a lot about working as a team, rather than against each other so that was super cool! Then had lunch, after lunch we went to the hospital , because my comp wasn't feeling good. We were there for a good 6 hours!!! While my comp had a lot of examens done , well I wrote my essays for college while I waited and, then read the Liahona , and wrote some letters too !! We didnt get out until 10 Pm ! so that was a late night!

Miercoles: We had a district meeting and then we talked about the importance of our lessons and the way we teach , oh and another sister is sick in our district , basically i dont know what happened to Chia , I just hope I don't become sick , luckily its not contagious!

Jueves: We had concilio with all the other zone leaders all day, and I was able to talk a while with Elder Tipton so that was awesome , and also it all came to me Elder Bartlome is the one who knows the  Meeks , so that was cool! He is super great. He is working in the office.

Also we had the chance to go to the temple afterwards which was amazing and super peaceful , after being a little stressed. But the spirit was so strong! I really wish i could stay in the Celestial room forever! 

Viernes : we were in the house all day

Sabado: we had a our meeting with the  ward mission leader and them well back to the house!

Domingo: church was awesome , there was a really great talk about the will of God , and the atonement , then also one of the youth gave his farewell talks he leaves tomorrow !!! Then we had lunch with the Family Larrota it was way cool, they are super awesome !

Then in the house:(

Lunes : we attempted to go to the temple again but we missied the session , so we waited for the others outside the temple , which was nice too. Then we went to a planetary  and learned about light which was cool! then icecream cones at McDonalds :)

Week 60

Wow sounds like you guys will be pretty busy with Basketball this time of the year, but that is great they all enjoy playing it , and I hope it goes well for Jacob as the Teachers Quorm president , I wish I knew how important it was to be in that psotion when I was there , but Im glad Jake will have the oppertunity to serve others! And FHE is a great idea to help bless everyone in the family!!! Also Family Council too!

Anyways well most the week we were in the house because well my comp ,keeps getting   sick on and off ...

Martes: In the house, and going out of my mind! 

Miercoles: We had our district meeting , then well for lunch the member was sick that we had lunch with so she bought us pizza super awesome! Then we had a lesson with the Family R_ which went super well about the BoM , Then with J_ about some videos that we showed them about parents an THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILIES.It went pretty well. Then we went to visit the family L_ , because he had some references for us , and his wife had made us some tomales from venazuela which were super good! Also I finshed Redaing the BoM so that was super legit to finsh right before the year ended!! I love this book and it is so important to me , and I know that it was wriitten for our time , and that we can come unto Christ as we read it and practice what it teaches! 

Jueves: We had fish for lunch which was way good con patecon . Then we had a super good lesson with E_ and the family O_ we talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then about the law of Chasity which was interesting but way spiritual! 

Then we had to be in the house at 7pm so we went to bed early jaja :) ya I know jealous of our new years :) 

Viernes : no one was in the street! And well my comp got sick again , and so we went to the Doctors where he got a few pills and injections , but didnt really help. 

Sabado : well we went to Bogota because the Elders dont have a phone and well a man came to repair a few things , so we had to go and help with that , and then afterward well back to the house. (I feel like the Pirncess in Tangled locked in the house forever!!!) [when will my life begin ] jaja

Domingo , well are lunch canceled on us but I ended up cooking a super good lunch!! Yeah for all you who say I cant cook , well yeah I still cant cook but , Im improving jaja. Then we had a super good lesson with recent  convert, and then a FHE with Hno L who is like the best and with his family ! We talked about the importance of the role of parents which went super well.
